Chandramukhi NO comparison to Manichitrathazhu

I had promised to write about tomatoes in my next blog but after having wasted 750 bucks on Chandramukhi yesterday decided that this blog was more apt.

Manichitrathazhu a classic malayalam movie by a genius filmmaker Fazil has been so shabbily remoulded to a typical tamil superstar movie Chandramukhi.CM is no way different from any other rajinikant movie it has a little bit of action,a couple of duet songs and a huge dose of double entendre jokes.Amongst all this we have our poor jyothika making a futile attempt to imitate Shobana in 'Manichitrathazhu'.I must admit that jyothika has stretched far beyond her acting capability in this role but she fails miserably in the climax.Shobana's scintillating performance in the song 'Oru Murai Vandhu Parthaya' is matchless to our Jo's amateurish bharatanatyam.CM might cater to the tastes of hardcore superstar fans but it brings enormous pain and trauma to people who enjoy good malayalam movies.
So here goes my appeal to all tamil movie makers, for heaven sake do not tamper with malayalam movies and make it lose it's aesthetic value. If you are in search of a good story you need to follow a long route ie. play with your grey cells.

I havent watched the original malayalam flick, but i couldnt agree with u more as i felt pained at the wastage 60-odd bucks on my ticket despite my friend paying for it.The movie being from rajinikanth, I guess u shouldnt have expected more....and what was most ridiculous was the climax--where
,apart from rajini diagnosing Jo with a split-personality-syndrome,
we have him very "humbly" insulting our intelligence with making a priest perform some semi-miracle on her(having done the other half himself),resulting in the ouster of a snake that wouldve done the director of 'Anaconda' proud.Such revolting ideas--one that accomodates both the psychiatrist and the exorcist in one script can be expected only from Rajinikanth and the brand of film-makers he's come to represent....And you were right about excercising the "grey" in the head", allthough i have good reason to believe he has more of it on the outside than on the inside!
